Mr.Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman and Group CEO, Bharti Enterprises, has been awarded the prestigious JRD Tata Corporate Leadership Award. Mr.Mittal has been given this Award for his outstanding contribution to the Indian industry and for being a distinguished Corporate Leader who has consistently maintained exceptional standards in professional management.
The Award was presented to Mittal by Union Minister of Power, Sushil Kumar Shinde, at a function in Bangalore on February 21, 2008.
Commenting to the Award, Mittal said, “I am delighted to receive this Award named after one of the historic leaders of the Indian industry. This Award is testimony to the key transformational projects that we have undertaken, which have served the nation in a meaningful manner.
